Myagdi, Sept 27: Four of the government offices in Beni, district headquarters of Myagdi district, have been damaged due to the flood following incessant rainfall.
The flood that came from the road to Arthunge via Maharanithan of Manglaghat, Beni Municipality-7, caused damages to four office buildings and their premises including the vehicles parked there, according to Kul Prasad Adhikari, assistant Chief District Officer, Myagdi.
Veterinary hospital and livestock service expert center, Forest Division Office, Beni Municipality and office building of Soil and Watershed Management Office as well as the settlement of the landless have been flooded.
Almost all transport of the district has come to a standstill due to incessant rainfall, landslides and flooding in different parts.
Electricity has also been disrupted in Beni since Saturday evening.
Flooded Kaligandai river has caused damage to a concrete bridge along Beni-Jomsom road, built over the Kaligandaki river, at Pokharebagar in Annapurna Rural Municipality-6, according to Diva Kumari Tilija Pun, vice-chairperson of the Annapurna Rural Municipality. TRN
