Kathmandu – In a recent collaboration, teams from the Armed Police Force Nepal (APF) and the Chinese police conducted a joint security patrol near border pillar No. 35 along the Nepal-China border.
Suman Bogti, the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of the Armed Police Force in Gorkha, reported that the patrol took place on Thursday in the Ruilabhanjang No. 35 border post area. This operation involved the APF’s VOP (Vigilance Out Post) Samdo team and their Chinese counterparts. The VOP in Samdo, located in Chumanuvri Rural Municipality-1 Samagaon, was established on June 13th, marking a significant step in enhancing border security.

This joint patrol marks the first such initiative since the establishment of the VOP, aiming to foster cooperation in crime prevention and theft control in the border region. Regular communication and coordination between the two forces have been emphasized to maintain security. The APF VOP in Samdo is situated 15 kilometers from Ruilana, a key area on the China border.
